Celebrate Small Victories

Check out the video above….Did you notice the score?

That was some celebration dance when the score was still 10 to 1. Truth is…if we don’t celebrate the small victories, how do we keep ourselves inspired to keep moving forward towards the big ones.

Don’t wait until you have “won”…learn to celebrate when you are “winning”. Celebrate progress not just completion.

Are there people in your life that you can celebrate with? I don’t just mean do you have friends. Are there people that you can share the full details of even your small accomplishments with?

If you are an entrepreneur, some of your victories will involve getting new clients, earning more money or learning something new. Having people in your life that you can talk to about even the more private details of your personal and professional life can help make your celebrations more real.

Share your successes no matter how small…even if it is about money.

Grown people can grow up too.

Personal Growth is a process. If you have ever committed to a journey of personal growth and development, you know how challenging it can be.

While you are learning and growing there will be moments when you suddenly realize that you have actually stretched beyond where you were before.

Maybe something that bothered you before does not bother you anymore. Perhaps you have learned something new and something that once seemed impossible, is now easy.

When those moments come…acknowledge your growth and celebrate.

Genuinely Celebrate with others.

How do you feel when you see someone achieving something that you want for you life?

This is a tough one. It is so easy to either slip into feeling jealous, inadequate or some other other negative emotion. Although it is hard to do, I have learned that one way to ensure you are on the path to accomplishing what you want in your life is to celebrate it when you see it in the lives of others.

It seems counterintuitive, but what you resent you repel. Really work through any feelings of jealousy or inadequacy that come up for you when you observe the success of others. Doing so will put you more in touch with your own journey. Learn to admire what you want out of life, no matter where you see it.

Bite Sized Goals

Some goals are so big that in order to feel accomplished you have to break them down into smaller parts. Learn to just acknowledge yourself for doing a good job. Life is more enjoyable when you set smaller, attainable goals and then make plans to celebrate them.

Give yourself something to look forward to. If you are ready to take on celebrating the small victories, feel free to connect with me on Facebook or LinkedIn. I would love to celebrate with you.
